DSP / DSP Amplifiers

DSP amplifiers and standalone digital sound processors for precise in-car tuning, for enthusiasts building active systems or getting the best from a factory head unit.

A DSP amplifier gives you precise tuning, compact designs and seamless integration for a better listening experience. Combining amplification and digital signal processing in one unit saves space and wiring, while standalone processors let you tune an existing amplifier setup. Every product is UK-spec stock from our Nottingham warehouse.

DSP amplifier or standalone DSP?

If you are starting a new system, a DSP amplifier is usually the neatest option: one unit, one power feed, and channels for every speaker. If you already have good amplifiers, a standalone digital sound processor adds tuning without replacing them. Count the speakers you want to control individually, and check the inputs suit your head unit; high-level inputs connect directly to factory systems. Add a remote controller for on-the-fly volume and sub level.

DSP / DSP Amplifiers FAQs

Q: What does a DSP do in a car?

A: It digitally adjusts equalisation, crossovers and time alignment for each speaker, correcting for the car's acoustics and speaker positions.

Q: Can I add a DSP amplifier to a factory stereo?

A: Yes. Most DSP amplifiers accept high-level speaker inputs, and some Match and Alpine models plug straight into specific vehicles.

Q: Can CEN install and tune a DSP?

A: Yes. CEN can supply, fit and tune DSP amplifiers and processors at our Beeston, Nottingham workshop.
