About Skinz
Skinz specialises in the unglamorous essentials of a proper speaker install: sound deadening sheets in multi-sheet packs sized for real projects, and its WaterGuard silicone speaker baffles that shield door speakers from moisture while improving their acoustic behaviour. Practical, well-priced materials that installers get through by the box.
Skinz range
- Sound Deadening Expert 3mm V2: damping sheets in 10, 20 and 30 sheet packs.
- Pro Sound Deadening 2mm V2: lighter damping sheets in 23 and 46 sheet packs.
- Ultimat 5.5mm: 3-layer sound deadening in a 13 sheet pack.
- Panel Liner: acoustic foam in 6mm and 10mm sheet packs.
- WaterGuard 165 and 200: silicone door speaker collars for 6.5 inch and 8 inch speakers.
How to choose Skinz
Apply Expert or Pro damping sheets to bare metal first to stop vibration. Pro 2mm covers more area for less weight, which suits van sides and roofs, while Expert 3mm adds more mass per panel. Finish with Panel Liner foam to absorb airborne noise. If you are fitting new door speakers, add a WaterGuard collar of the matching size. See our full soundproofing range for more options.
