Line output converters let you add amplifiers and subwoofers to a factory stereo by turning speaker-level signals into clean RCA outputs. Our range covers 2 to 8 channel converters from AudioControl, Wavtech, JL Audio and Kicker, including models with OEM load detection, signal summing and remote bass control.

For bigger systems, we also stock line drivers to boost signal voltage over long cable runs, and AudioControl Epicenter bass restoration processors. Free UK mainland delivery on all orders.

How to choose a line output converter

Count the channels you need: two for a subwoofer feed, four or more to run front and rear speakers through an amp. Factory systems that only play when they detect a speaker load need a converter with OEM load detection. If your factory system filters bass, summing or bass restoration helps. Pair with an amplifier and RCA cables and wiring.

Q: Do I need a line output converter?

A: Yes, if your stereo has no RCA outputs and your amplifier has no high-level inputs.

Q: What does a bass restoration processor do?

A: It restores low frequencies that some factory systems reduce, giving your subwoofer a fuller signal.
