About Dynamat

Dynamat is the name that defined automotive sound deadening — the American brand whose Xtreme butyl sheet has been the category benchmark for decades and whose name became shorthand for the job itself. Beyond the classic sheets, the range covers hood liners, rollers and complete vehicle kits. When installers say Dynamat the doors, this is why.

Dynamat range at a glance

  • Dynamat Xtreme: damping mat in Speaker Pack, Door Pack, Hex Pack, Squared, Mega Pack, Mini Bulk Pack and Bulk Pack sizes.
  • Dynamat Pro X: a 4 sheet Xtreme-grade damping pack.
  • Dynamat SuperLite: sheets in Tri Pack and 12 sheet Bulk Pack sizes.
  • Dynaliner: acoustic foam insulator in 3mm, 6mm and 12mm thicknesses.
  • DynaPad and DynaCore: heavy-weight noise control and thermal acoustic foam for noise and heat reduction.
  • Hoodliner: thermo acoustic bonnet foam that absorbs engine noise.

Which Dynamat should I choose?

For treating around speakers, the Xtreme Speaker Pack and Hex Pack are small starter kits. The Door Pack is aimed at door treatment, while the Mega Pack, Mini Bulk Pack and Bulk Pack suit floors, boots and larger vehicles. Apply Xtreme to bare metal first to stop panel resonance, then layer Dynaliner, DynaPad or DynaCore on top where you want to block airborne noise or heat. Clean panels thoroughly and roll the mat firmly for a lasting bond.

Dynamat FAQs

Q: Is Dynamat worth the premium?

A: Xtreme's performance-per-sheet and consistency are why it stayed the benchmark; for smaller treated areas the premium is marginal against the result.

Q: How much do I need?

A: 1-1.5 square metres for a pair of door outer skins; 4-6 for a thorough car. Coverage per pack is in each Specification tab.

Q: Is it DIY-friendly?

A: Very — cut, peel, stick, and roll down hard with a proper roller.

Q: Is CEN an authorised Dynamat reseller?

A: Yes. CEN is an authorised UK reseller of Dynamat — every product is genuine UK stock with full manufacturer warranty support.

Q: Can CEN install Dynamat products?

A: Yes — professional installation from our Nottingham premises, from single components to complete systems.

Q: What is the difference between Dynamat Xtreme and Dynaliner?

A: Xtreme is a damping mat that stops metal panels vibrating. Dynaliner is a foam insulator that absorbs airborne noise. Many installs use both, with Dynaliner layered over Xtreme.
