About Pioneer

Pioneer was founded in Tokyo in 1938 by Nozomu Matsumoto, who began by building loudspeakers, and it grew into one of the most influential names in audio — with car entertainment firsts to its name including the world's first car CD player in 1984 and pioneering in-car GPS navigation in the early 1990s. In-car entertainment remains Pioneer's heartland: CarPlay and Android Auto head units from value single-DIN units to flagship modular receivers, alongside respected speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers. Few brands have shipped more aftermarket head units worldwide.

Which Pioneer stereo should I choose?

First check whether your car takes a double DIN or single DIN stereo. If you want Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, look at the SPH-DA range, or the SPH-DA97DAB-UNI and AVH-Z7200DAB if you only have a single DIN opening. For a simple Bluetooth and DAB upgrade, an MVH mechless stereo is the most affordable route. Add a TS-WX underseat subwoofer for bass without losing boot space.
