- Configuration via DSP PC-Tool software V4
Special Features
Class HD technology
The UP 7BMW combines Class H technology with a Class D amplifier principle. By varying the internal supply voltage according to input signal amplitude, idle losses are significantly reduced and overall efficiency is kept close to maximum at all times.
Smart high-level input ADEP.3
Modern factory-installed BMW head units use advanced speaker-diagnostic functions. Connecting a standard amplifier can trigger failure messages or cause the loss of specific features such as fader control. The ADEP.3 circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection, 3rd Generation) prevents these issues without placing unnecessary load on the OE radio's speaker outputs at high volumes.
Start-Stop capability
The switched-mode power supply maintains a constant internal supply voltage even if battery voltage drops to 6 V during engine crank. If supply voltage drops below 10.5 V for more than five seconds, the amplifier enters Protect mode (status LED turns red) to prevent further battery discharge.
Automatic Digital Signal Detection
The UP 7BMW switches automatically from the analogue input to the digital input as soon as a signal is detected on the optical input. This can be deactivated in the DSP PC-Tool software, or an optional remote control can be used for manual input switching.
Power Save Mode
In many modern vehicles with CAN or other internal bus structures, the radio may remain active for up to 45 minutes after locking the car. Once Power Save Mode activates, the remote output — and any connected amplifiers — will switch off. The UP 7BMW reactivates the remote output within one second when a music signal is detected. The 60-second turn-off delay can be adjusted or Power Save Mode disabled entirely via the DSP PC-Tool software.

About the Match M117000
From our tech experts at CEN
A 7-channel amplifier from Match, with a DSP integrated.
Who it suits
Drivers upgrading a factory system who want amplification and tuning in one box. Match is Audiotec Fischer’s OEM-integration brand, and these are designed to take a factory signal and make something of it.
Our tech experts advise
The processing is worth only what the tuning puts into it: measurements in the car, delays for the driving seat, crossovers for your actual drivers. We tune these in the vehicle at our Beeston workshop. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?
A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.
Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?
A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.
Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?
A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.
Q: Can CEN install this amplifier?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional amplifier installation from our Nottingham premises, including secure mounting, wiring and setup. Contact us to book.
Q: Which BMWs is the MATCH UP 7BMW compatible with?
A: It is compatible with all models fitted with the BMW HiFi sound system (option 676). Models with a RAM module (vehicles from 09/2019) are excluded. Vehicle compatibility can be checked via the Upgrade-Finder on the Audiotec Fischer website, or contact CEN.
Q: Will the MATCH UP 7BMW cause error messages on my BMW radio?
A: It is designed not to. Its ADEP.3 circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection) prevents the failure messages and loss of features such as the fader that can appear when a standard amplifier is connected to a BMW radio.
Q: Can I add Bluetooth streaming to the MATCH UP 7BMW?
A: Yes. The MATCH Extension Card (MEC) slot accepts optional modules such as Bluetooth audio streaming or a high resolution USB audio sound card. It also has an optical SPDIF input (12 to 96 kHz).
