What's in the marine range

  • Marine speakers: Kicker KM, KMXL and MSC coaxials, Hertz HEX and HMX speakers including RGB LED models, and the Alpine SPS-M601W.
  • Tower speakers: Hertz HTX 8" 2-way RGB LED tower speakers with clamps and rear logos.
  • Marine subwoofers: Hertz HMS 10" and 12" subs, including infinite baffle and RGB LED versions.
  • Marine amplifiers: Kicker KXM and KM amps from 1 to 8 channels, and Hertz Venezia and HMD amps, including 24V versions.
  • Receivers and controls: Hertz Capri and HMR media receivers, wired remotes and bass level controls.

How to plan a marine audio system

Start with a marine source unit, then choose speakers to suit your mounting spaces: flush-mount coaxials for consoles and cockpits, tower speakers for wakeboard towers and roll cages. Add an amplifier for more volume over engine and wind noise, and a subwoofer for fuller bass. Check your boat's electrical system, as some amplifiers come in 24V versions. Q: Can I use car speakers on a boat?

A: It is not recommended. Marine speakers are built to resist water, UV and salt, which would damage standard car speakers over time.

Q: Do marine speakers need an amplifier?

A: Not always. Many run from a marine receiver, but an amplifier gives more volume and clarity outdoors.
