KXM Marine 5 Channel Class D Amplifier
The KXMA five-channel marine amp delivers a full-system solution from a single amplifier — four full-range channels handling up to 125W each, two sets of bridged channels at up to 250W, and a separate subwoofer channel delivering up to 400W.
The Kicker Real Marine standard means every KXMA-Series amp ships with anti-corrosive speaker, power and RCA terminals, stainless-steel screws, conformal-coated circuit boards and ABYC/NMMA-compliant power connections. Products are tested to meet or exceed marine industry standards for UV, humidity and saltwater exposure.
Gain, crossover and bass-boost controls sit behind a gasket-sealed panel, keeping key settings protected from water ingress. KickEQ™ adds up to 6dB of bass boost with a single knob. The variable 24dB crossover lets you tune the system quickly. A full-range RCA output lets you add a further amplifier without running new signal cable to your Kicker KMC Media Center.
A wired bass controller is included so you can adjust subwoofer levels on the fly without leaving your seat.

About the Kicker 48KXMA9005
From our tech experts at CEN
A marine-rated amplifier, 5 channel, rated at 900w RMS, coated to cope with damp and salt air where a car amplifier would corrode.
Who it suits
Boats, ribs and open builds, and anywhere an amplifier is mounted somewhere it will get damp. Campers with outdoor speakers are an increasingly common use.
Our tech experts advise
Mount it somewhere ventilated and as dry as the boat allows, and fuse the feed at the battery. Marine wiring wants tinned cable and sealed joints. get in touch to talk through the install. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?
A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.
Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?
A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.
Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?
A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.
Q: Can CEN install this amplifier?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional amplifier installation from our Nottingham premises, including secure mounting, wiring and setup. Contact us to book.
Q: Does the Kicker 48KXMA9005 come with a bass remote?
A: Yes. A wired bass controller is included, so you can adjust the level of the subwoofer channel without leaving your seat.
Q: How much power does the KXMA900.5 deliver?
A: The four full-range channels deliver 75W x 4 at 4 ohms or 125W x 4 at 2 ohms, or 250W x 2 bridged at 4 ohms. The subwoofer channel delivers 200W at 4 ohms and 400W at 2 or 1 ohm.
Q: Is the 48KXMA9005 suitable for saltwater use?
A: It is built to KICKER's Real Marine standard, with anti-corrosive speaker, power and RCA terminals, stainless-steel screws, conformal-coated circuit boards and ABYC/NMMA-compliant power connections. It is listed as ASTM B117 200 hour salt fog test compliant, and the controls sit behind a gasket-sealed panel.
