KM Marine 6.5" (165 mm) Horn-loaded Coaxial Speakers with White & Charcoal Grilles (48KMXL654)
The KMXL series builds on the technology used in KICKER Marine Audio's KMTC and KMFC Horn-Loaded Tower Systems, which use an HLCD (horn-loaded compression driver) design. The same core technology is packaged into a speaker shallow enough to fit traditional coaxial mounting locations, and robust enough for KM-Series Empty Enclosures.
A proprietary high-frequency horn design delivers smooth, detailed audio that remains comfortable to listen to even at high volumes.
Integrated RGB LED lighting supports up to 20 colours and 19 lighting modes — expandable via the optional KMLC LED remote.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
Q: What cut-out size does the Kicker 48KMXL654 need?
A: The 48KMXL654 needs a 13.9 cm mounting hole and 8.1 cm of mounting depth.
Q: Is the 48KMXL654 waterproof?
A: Yes. KMXL speakers are IP66 rated, which means they are protected from dust and from water jets and splashes. The woofer cones are UV-treated and waterproof.
Q: Does the 48KMXL654 have LED lighting?
A: Yes. KMXL speakers have integrated RGB LED lighting, which can be expanded to 20 colours and 19 lighting modes by adding the Kicker KMLC LED remote.
