4K dual HDR dash cam
The ELITE 9 delivers improved performance through advanced HDR technology, providing clear and well-balanced recordings in both bright sunlight and low-light conditions.
The front camera uses a Sony IMX678 STARVIS 2 sensor recording at 3840×2160, and the rear camera uses a Sony IMX675 STARVIS 2 sensor recording at 2560×1440.
HDR is active on both cameras. BlackVue's HDR processing reduces motion blur and improves detail, making number plates easier to read on moving vehicles.
The front camera's 8-element f/1.7 lens offers strong light-gathering capability across a 146° field of view. The rear camera's 7-element f/2.0 lens balances depth of field and low-light performance across a 142° field of view. Both lenses keep distortion minimal.
Daily protection with pre-event recording
Motion detection: records a 1-minute buffered video whenever motion is detected by the front or rear camera. Detection areas can be set manually in the app.
Time lapse: records constantly at 1 frame per second, so each 1-minute video covers 30 minutes of real time. Recommended for drivers who routinely park in busy areas.
Comprehensive event detection
Detects and records driving impacts, parking impacts, sudden acceleration, hard braking, sharp turns and overspeeding using the built-in G-sensor and GPS.

About the BlackVue BVE92CH64GB
From our tech experts at CEN
The BlackVue Elite 9-2CH 64GB is a 2-channel dash cam recording 4K UHD HDR at the front (3840×2160 at 30fps) and 2K QHD HDR at the rear (2560×1440 at 30fps). Both cameras use Sony STARVIS 2 sensors — IMX678 front, IMX675 rear — with HDR active on each. Built-in GPS/GLONASS, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5GHz) and Bluetooth are included, along with a 64GB microSD card.
Who it suits
Suits drivers who want high-resolution front and rear coverage with strong low-light performance. The 12V–24V input makes it compatible with both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. For more onboard storage, the Elite 9-2CH 256GB is the natural step up.
Our tech experts advise
The front camera is 129.7 × 40 × 55.3mm and weighs 203.2g; the rear is 67 × 29 × 39.1mm at 38.8g — both mount neatly on the windscreen. The card slot supports microSD up to 1TB. Parking mode requires an optional add-on; the hardwiring cable for permanent power is in the box. Our Beeston workshop can fit this 2-channel camera from £100 — see dash cam installation for details.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What resolution does the BlackVue ELITE 9-2CH record?
A: The front camera records 4K UHD (3840x2160) with HDR at 30fps and the rear camera records 2K QHD (2560x1440) with HDR at 30fps.
Q: Does the ELITE 9-2CH come with a memory card?
A: Yes. This 64GB version includes a microSD card, and the camera supports microSD cards up to 1TB.
Q: Does the ELITE 9-2CH have built-in GPS and Wi-Fi?
A: Yes. It has built-in dual band GPS (GPS and GLONASS) and built-in 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi (802.11ac).
Q: Can the ELITE 9-2CH connect to the BlackVue Cloud?
A: Yes. It is cloud compatible via the optional LTE Connectivity Module or a third-party Wi-Fi hotspot. Data is not included.
