4K UHD dash cam with HDR, dual 4K capable
The Elite 10-1CH uses advanced HDR technology to deliver clear, well-balanced recordings in both bright sunlight and low-light conditions. The Sony IMX678 STARVIS 2 sensor records at 3840×2160 pixels, and HDR reduces motion blur and improves detail — making number plates easier to read on moving vehicles. The 8-element f/1.7 aperture lens offers strong light-gathering capability across a 146° wide field of view with minimal distortion.
The best daily protection with pre-event recording
Motion Detection: records a 1-minute buffered video whenever motion is detected. Detection areas can be set manually in the app.
Time Lapse: records constantly at 1 frame per second, so each 1-minute video covers 30 minutes of real time. Recommended for drivers who routinely park in busy areas.
Comprehensive event detection
Using the built-in G-Sensor and GPS, the Elite 10-1CH detects and records driving impacts, parking impacts, sudden acceleration, hard braking, sharp turns, and overspeeding.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What resolution does the Elite 10-1CH record at?
A: It records 4K UHD (3840x2160) at 30fps with HDR, using a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor and an 8-element f/1.7 lens with a 146-degree field of view.
Q: Does the Elite 10-1CH include a rear camera?
A: No. This is the 1-channel, front camera version. It supports a 4K rear camera, which is not included.
Q: Does it work with BlackVue Cloud?
A: Yes. It is Cloud compatible via the optional LTE Connectivity Module or a third-party Wi-Fi hotspot. Cloud data is not included.
Q: How much power does the Elite 10-1CH draw?
A: BlackVue rates the Elite 10-1CH at an average of 320mA at 12V in normal mode with GPS on, and 260mA at 12V in parking mode with GPS off. Power saving parking mode draws under 1mA.
