Option Audio AIR-D6 6-channel amplifier
Maximum power for the entire system: Six channels rated at 6 × 95W/150W RMS (4/2 ohms) let you run a front system, rear speakers and a subwoofer from a single unit.
Ultra-compact micro design: Despite its output, the AIR-D6 is extremely small. The space-saving housing fits behind the dashboard, in the glove compartment or under a seat.
OEM integration: High-level inputs with auto turn-on mean the AIR-D6 works directly with factory head units that have no RCA outputs. It detects the audio signal automatically and powers on without a separate remote cable.
Flexible configuration: Run all six channels for a full speaker setup, or bridge channels to deliver 300W RMS at 4 ohms for demanding components or a subwoofer. Integrated high-pass and low-pass filters (40Hz–400Hz) allow precise frequency separation.
Efficient Class D technology: The digital circuit delivers high efficiency with minimal heat generation. 2-ohm stability allows a wide range of speaker combinations.

About the Option Audio AIR-D6
From our tech experts at CEN
A 6-channel amplifier from Option Audio, Class D, in a compact chassis, rated at 300w RMS.
Who it suits
Drivers upgrading speakers in a van, camper or car where the head unit cannot drive them properly. The compact chassis matters in vans and campers, where there is rarely a good home for a large amplifier.
Our tech experts advise
Matching the amplifier to the speakers matters more than headline watts, and gains want setting with a meter. It needs a fused feed from the battery on the correct cable gauge. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?
A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.
Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?
A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.
Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?
A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.
Q: Can CEN install this amplifier?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional amplifier installation from our Nottingham premises, including secure mounting, wiring and setup. Contact us to book.
Q: Can the Option Audio AIR-D6 run a whole car audio system?
A: Yes. Its six channels can power a front system, rear speakers and a subwoofer, delivering 6 x 95W RMS at 4 ohms or 6 x 150W RMS at 2 ohms.
Q: Can the AIR-D6 channels be bridged?
A: Yes. Channels can be bridged to 300W RMS at 4 ohms to drive powerful components or a subwoofer. Bridging at 2 ohms is not possible.
Q: Does the AIR-D6 need a separate remote cable?
A: No. Thanks to its high-level inputs and auto turn-on, it detects the music signal and switches on automatically, which makes it ideal for factory radios without RCA outputs.
