The Morel Hybrid 63 is a 6.5" 3-way component speaker system from Morel's fifth-generation Hybrid range, comprising MW6 Mk2 woofers, CDM700 midranges, MT300 28mm silk dome tweeters and MXR300.4 crossovers, rated at 140W RMS.

C.A.R Filter

Controlled Acoustic Resistance. Most car speakers are installed in a virtual free-air environment — such as a door — which provides minimal acoustic loading. The C.A.R. Filter™ controls airflow within the driver to mimic the effects of a cabinet, improving power handling by 30% and giving greater control over cone movement for improved bass dynamics.

EVC Motor

EVC™ technology uses large voice coils with the magnetic drive system positioned within the coil. This eliminates stray magnetic flux by directing all magnetic energy to the voice coil, resulting in an efficient, powerful and compact design with effective heat dissipation and reduced cone breakup for lower distortion.

Handcrafted Acuflex Soft Dome

A specially engineered damping compound applied to the soft domes of Morel tweeters and midranges. The material combination creates a diaphragm with controlled cancelling break-up (accurate–flexing), where each break-up mode is counteracted by another in the opposite direction, leaving a pure, natural sound.

Neodymium Magnet

Neodymium is the most powerful magnet available, allowing Morel to build physically compact tweeters and midranges that fit in tight spaces without compromising sound quality.

Hexatech™ Aluminium Voice Coil

Made from 100% aluminium wire wound in a honeycomb shape, the Hexatech™ voice coil reduces air gaps in the coil windings, increasing efficiency by up to 20%. Its lightweight construction is a key factor in the fast transient response Morel drive units are known for.

Hybrid Magnet Motor

The Hybrid motor combines a ferrite magnet with a powerful neodymium magnet to create a compact, lightweight and powerful motor system. More amplified power is converted into sonic energy, giving strong performance even from a small driver.

DPC Cone

DPC (Damped Polymer Cone) is derived directly from the cones that built Morel's reputation. High self-damping characteristics deliver exceptional sound quality without colouration or harshness.
