The Ultimo Titanium is Morel's flagship subwoofer series, building on the musicality and high power handling of the original Ultimo range.
At the heart of the Ultimo TI 102 is a titanium voice coil former — exceptionally stiff and lightweight, it improves transient response while reducing distortion and increasing power handling. A copper shorting ring further reduces distortion and flattens the impedance response, which is especially important in subwoofers where distortion levels are typically high.
The driver also carries over key technology from the original Ultimo series:
- 5.1-inch Hexatech™ External Voice Coil (EVC™)
- DMM™ (Dual Magnet Motor) design achieving over 90% efficiency
- PFS™ (Progression Field Symmetry) spider/surround technology — stiffens the spider as excursion increases to maintain linearity and minimise distortion
Continued parameter optimisation means the Ultimo Titanium works more efficiently in smaller enclosures than its predecessors, while delivering higher resolution bass reproduction.
