The Ultimo Titanium is Morel's flagship subwoofer series, developed to improve on the musicality and high power handling of the original Ultimo range.
At the heart of the Ultimo TI is Morel's titanium voice coil former — exceptionally stiff and lightweight. This improves driver dynamics for quicker transient response, lower distortion and increased power handling.
A copper shorting ring reduces distortion and produces a flat impedance response. This is particularly important in subwoofers, where distortion levels are typically high.
The Ultimo TI 802 also carries over key technology from the original Ultimo series:
- 5.1" Hexatech™ External Voice Coil (EVC™)
- DMM™ (Dual Magnet Motor) — achieves over 90% efficiency
- PFS™ (Progression Field Symmetry) spider/surround — stiffens the spider as excursion increases for maximum linearity and minimum distortion
The titanium voice coil technology and continued parameter optimisation also allow the Ultimo TI to work more efficiently in smaller enclosures than its predecessors, making it a strong choice where boot space is limited.
