EDGE DB Series 12 inch 1800 watts Active Bass Enclosure
The Edge DB Series is a revised take on the well-established EDB Series, featuring a new Stealth Design. The dark finish includes a hint of Edge's signature orange, with component and amplifier changes that deliver a lower bass response with more depth and rumble.
All Edge DB Series enclosures use flared turbo ports for smooth airflow, producing louder and crisper bass within a solid enclosure construction. They accept both low and high level inputs, making them a straightforward all-in-one bass upgrade for aftermarket or factory stereos.

About the Edge EDB12TA-E0
From our tech experts at CEN
An Edge 12 inch subwoofer in an active ported bass box, with the amplifier built in, 600w RMS.
Who it suits
Drivers who want bass without building a system around it. An active box means one unit, one power feed and no separate amplifier to hide.
Our tech experts advise
It still needs a fused feed from the battery and a signal source. Secure the enclosure properly: an unrestrained box is dangerous in a crash. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Can CEN build or supply an enclosure and fit everything?
A: Yes. CEN supplies enclosures and offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises, including amplifier wiring. Contact us to discuss your build.
Q: Does the EDB12TA-E0 need a separate amplifier?
A: No. It is an active enclosure with a built-in ED7300 amplifier, rated at 600W RMS (1800W peak).
Q: Will the EDB12TA-E0 work with a factory stereo?
A: Yes. It has both low level and high level inputs, so it can be connected to an aftermarket head unit's RCA outputs or to factory speaker wiring.
Q: How big is the EDB12TA-E0?
A: It measures 338mm high, 740mm wide and 413mm deep (13.3 x 29.1 x 16.3 inches) and holds two ED512A drivers in a ported 4th order bass reflex design.
