About the Kicker 51HS8
From our tech experts at CEN
The Kicker Hideaway 51HS8 is a compact powered underseat subwoofer: an 8 inch driver and a 150w RMS amplifier in one all-aluminium enclosure just 7.94cm high. It plays from 25 Hz to 120 Hz, with an adjustable 50 to 120 Hz low-pass filter, variable +6 dB bass boost and a phase switch. A wired remote bass control is included.
Who it suits
Drivers who want proper bass with no boot box, from a unit that fits under a front seat in most cars. High and low-level inputs mean it works with factory or aftermarket head units. The 51HS10 is the 10 inch, 180w RMS version in almost the same footprint.
Our tech experts advise
At 7.94 x 23.8 x 35.2cm it fits most seats, but measure first and check the seat runners. A quick-connect Molex harness carries power, signal and turn-on. Secure it with the supplied straps. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year.
