The Edge Xtreme Series EDXPRO8W-E9 is an 8 inch (200mm) wideband pro audio midrange speaker pair rated at 150W RMS, with 96dB sensitivity and a 95Hz–18kHz frequency response. It is the Wideband model in the Edge Xtreme pro audio range, designed to play right across the frequency spectrum.
Also in the Xtreme pro audio range: EDXPRO8-E3 8 inch midrange, EDXPRO6-E3 6.5 inch midrange and the EDXPRO35TN-E4 compression driver.

EDGE Xtreme Series pro audio midrange speakers
For the Xtreme Series Pro range, EDGE developed speakers sharing the same core components but tuned to three distinct sound characteristics, each suited to a different listening preference.
- Power model: slightly larger motor for more volume and mid-bass attack.
- Linear model: flattest response, for a clean, accurate sound.
- Wideband model: widest frequency response, for those who want their speakers to play right across the spectrum.
The Xtreme range is built around a multi-way pro audio system. Featuring mid-bass and midrange drivers, these speakers can be paired with an Edge pro audio tweeter or compression driver to create a full 3-way pro audio set-up. The range uses the largest voice coils and motors Edge offers, delivering high power handling and strong driver control. The 6 and 8 BP models provide hard-hitting mid-bass attack, intended to pair with the 8E for midrange and vocal reproduction. If you also need a subwoofer to complete your system, Edge offer active bass boxes such as the Edge EDB10A 10 inch active subwoofer.

A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.

Q: What is the difference between the EDXPRO8W-E9 and other Xtreme pro midrange models?
A: The W (Wideband) model has the widest frequency response, 95Hz to 18kHz, so it plays right across the spectrum. EDGE also offers Power models with more mid-bass attack and Linear models with the flattest response.
Q: Does the EDXPRO8W-E9 need an amplifier?
A: Yes. It is rated at 150W RMS at 4 ohms, so it needs a dedicated amplifier channel to perform as intended. EDGE recommends the EDA350.2-E7 amplifier.
