BDPRO8M-V9 BlackDeath 8 Inch Pro Audio Midrange Speaker

The BDPRO8M-V9 is built around strong mid-bass performance. A semi-pressed paper cone delivers high sensitivity and low moving mass for high output. The dual roll cloth surround provides fast, precise cone dampening with solid bass response. The BlackHole dustcap increases effective cone area for higher SPL.

For high frequencies, the Black Death BDPRO4T-V0 compression horn driver is designed to pair with this midrange.

The Black Death Pro Audio range is derived from PA speaker design, making these speakers capable of extreme sound pressure levels. They are suited to competition builds or anyone who wants serious volume output.

About the Vibe BDPRO8M-V9

From our tech experts at CEN

Vibe Black Death pro audio midrange drivers, 8 inch, handling 225w RMS, built for efficiency and output rather than gentle background listening.

Who it suits

Loud builds, show cars and anyone chasing volume from limited amplifier power. Pro audio drivers are efficient, which is what makes them go loud without enormous wattage. Black Death is Vibe’s competition line, built for output rather than subtlety.

Our tech experts advise

Pro drivers usually need horn or baffle mounting and a crossover set well clear of their limits; they are not a straight door swap. get in touch and we will help plan the build. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will these speakers fit my car?

A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.

Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?

A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.

Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?

A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.

Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?

A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.

Q: Is the BDPRO8M-V9 sold as a pair?

A: No. The BDPRO8M-V9 is sold as a single speaker, so order two for a left and right pair.

Q: How much power does the BDPRO8M-V9 need?

A: It is rated at 225 watts RMS and 675 watts peak, with a recommended minimum input of 100 watts and a 4 ohm impedance.

Q: What is the mounting depth of the BDPRO8M-V9?

A: It needs 85mm (3.5 inch) of mounting depth and a 185mm (7.3 inch) mounting diameter.
