Build quality and design
The PR K165.2 uses premium components chosen for both sonic performance and durability. The die-cast aluminium basket, coated silk dome tweeter and mica-paper composite cone all contribute to an accurate, controlled sound at all volume levels. The clean, timeless design blends into vehicle interiors without drawing attention.
Tweeter performance
The 25 mm coated silk dome tweeter is built to tight manufacturing tolerances, reproducing fine high-frequency detail smoothly and naturally. The anodised aluminium flush-mount housing allows concealed installation, and the two included grille designs offer a choice of finish. The optional PR ATP25 aluminium pod provides a surface-mount alternative.
Woofer performance
The 165 mm mica-paper composite cone delivers strong kick bass and a balanced midrange. The rigid aluminium die-cast basket with its low-turbulence design supports accurate impulse response, while additional ventilation holes keep the voice coil cool during sustained high-power use. Helix grilles are included for cone protection.
Flex-Crossover
The separable Flex-Crossover is designed for installations where the tweeter and woofer are mounted in different locations. The 3-stage tweeter level adjustment allows the treble balance to be fine-tuned to the mounting position, and the 12 dB slopes on both high-pass and low-pass filters have been carefully tuned for the PR K165.2 system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
Q: What is included with the HELIX PR K165.2?
A: The set includes 2 x PR T25-S tweeters, 2 x PR W165 woofers, 2 x Flex-Crossovers, 2 x woofer grilles, 2 x aluminium tweeter flush mount housings, 2 x tweeter OEM spacers, 2 x standard tweeter grilles, 2 x exclusive HELIX tweeter grilles and mounting material.
Q: How deep are the PR K165.2 woofers?
A: The woofer installation depth is 66.5 mm with a 141 mm installation diameter. The tweeter needs 10.6 mm depth and a 37.7 mm installation diameter.
Q: Can the tweeter level be adjusted on the PR K165.2?
A: Yes. The Flex-Crossover has a 3-stage tweeter level adjustment to suit the mounting position, and it can be separated for installs where the tweeter and woofer are mounted apart.
