The ESB 5.6K2X is a 6.5 inch 2-way component speaker system from ESB Audio's Cinquemila Series, rated at 160W RMS. The kit includes the 5.165 6.5 inch mid-woofer, the 5.028 1.1 inch carbon fibre composite dome tweeter (110W RMS), and the 5.6K2 CX passive crossover. It is designed for high-power sound quality installs and supports both flush and surface tweeter mounting.

Running an active setup and don't need the passive crossover? The ESB 5.6K2 contains the same tweeters and woofers without it.

5.028 1.1"/28 mm Dome Tweeter

The carbon fibre reinforced, polymer matrix composite dome delivers high rigidity and very low weight. The 28 mm aluminium voice coil supports very high power handling for a component of this size.

The tweeter uses a large, vented neodymium motor magnet optimised via FEA computer simulation for greater efficiency and improved linearity throughout the voice coil's excursion. The high-grade neodymium magnet reduces magnetic loss at elevated temperatures and concentrates energy in a compact space.

All motor parts are CNC machined for tighter tolerances and improved performance.

Axial and radial ventilation of the moving coil ensures high power handling with reduced distortion and increased durability. Axial ventilation holes reduce air compression behind the dome, lowering distortion and extending low-frequency response.

A special acoustic resistance controls tweeter Qts. Residual resonances are neutralised by the under-dome dB Cloth® damping material, extending frequency response to the lower limits and reducing harmonic distortion.

The faceplate removes via clips and can be replaced with an adapter for back-side installation. Flush mounting uses the included 4 chrome front screws; surface mounting uses the supplied mounting cup.

The magnet motor is FEA-optimised to ensure perfectly symmetrical magnetic flux in both directions of cone movement.

Axial and radial ventilation of the moving coil ensures high power handling, reduced distortion and increased durability. The stepped back allows a very long cone excursion.

Metal parts are CNC machined from solid, refined material for maximum magnetic flux linearity and minimum magnetic loss, reducing distortion at high power levels. A pure copper ring is inserted into the magnetic field to further reduce harmonic distortion.

A 25 mm CCAW (copper clad aluminium wire) double-layer voice coil is wound on an aluminium former for exceptional power handling and compression-free reproduction.

The carbon fibre reinforced, polymer matrix composite exponential cone provides high rigidity and very low weight.

The eight twin-spoke, anti-resonant, self-extinguishing carbon fibre reinforced ABS frame reduces cone back-reflections and ensures high structural and torsional rigidity for precise parts alignment and tight construction tolerances.

The ESB-designed TSW (Twin Symmetrical Wave) double-wave rubber suspension delivers smooth, linear excursion for natural low-frequency reproduction at both low and high volumes. The large Conex® spider allows a gentle run at low excursions and firm control at high excursions, increasing the useful frequency range.
