This VIOFO A229 Pro 2CH bundle combines the two-channel dash cam, recording 4K at the front and 2K at the rear using Sony STARVIS 2 sensors with HDR on both cameras, 5GHz Wi-Fi, GPS and voice control, with an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 128GB microSD card.
The HK4 hardwire kit and fuse set let you power the camera from the fuse box for parking mode. The dash cam is also sold on its own or in a bundle without the memory card, and the VIOFO 128GB microSD card is available separately.

The A229 Pro uses dual Sony STARVIS 2 cameras to deliver 4K front and 2K rear recording with excellent detail day and night.
IMX678 and IMX675 sensors: less noise, less motion blur
The front uses the IMX678 and the rear the IMX675 — both Sony STARVIS 2 sensors. Compared with original STARVIS technology, they offer wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity, reducing noise and motion blur in day and night recording.
4K Ultra HD front recording
The front camera uses a Sony STARVIS 2 1/1.8" 8MP sensor to record in 4K. The higher pixel count delivers greater clarity, capturing number plates and road detail clearly even at speed, day or night.
2K rear recording
The rear camera records in 2K using a Sony STARVIS 2 1/2.8" 5MP sensor, producing sharp, clear footage day and night.
2-channel HDR for clear number plates
HDR is active on both cameras, balancing bright and dark areas to preserve 4K and 2K detail across a wide range of lighting conditions — including capturing number plate detail at speed.
5GHz Wi-Fi for faster video downloads
The built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi module provides faster data transfer than 2.4GHz, making video previewing, downloading and sharing via the VIOFO app noticeably quicker.
Smart voice control and notification
Voice commands let you start recording, take photos and toggle Wi-Fi in English, Chinese, Russian and Japanese. The A229 Pro also gives audio notifications for settings changes and memory card errors.
Parking mode
The A229 Pro supports auto event detection, time-lapse and low-bitrate parking modes. The included HK4 hardwire kit provides the permanent power connection, with low-voltage cut-off to protect your car battery.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What is included in the A229 Pro 2CH 128GB bundle?
A: You get the A229 Pro front camera with GPS mount, rear camera and cable, CPL-200 filter, 3.5m car charger, USB-C data cable, spare sticky pads, stickers and trim tool, plus an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 128GB microSD card.
Q: Is 128GB enough for 4K front and 2K rear recording?
A: Yes for everyday use. 128GB is the sweet spot for 2-channel 4K: loop recording overwrites the oldest footage automatically and locked event clips are kept until you delete them.
