This VIOFO A229 Pro 1CH bundle combines the front-only 4K dash cam with Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 1/1.8" 8MP sensor, HDR, 5GHz Wi-Fi, quad-mode GPS, voice control and an included CPL-200 filter with an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 128GB microSD card.
The HK4 hardwire kit and fuse set let you power the camera from the fuse box for parking mode. The dash cam is also sold on its own or in a bundle without the memory card, and the VIOFO 128GB microSD card is available separately.

The A229 Pro records in 4K using a Sony STARVIS 2 1/1.8" 8MP IMX678 sensor. It delivers greater clarity and detail than the original STARVIS, with a wider dynamic range in a single exposure, low noise and reduced motion blur — day and night.
HDR enhanced vision for clear number plates
Advanced HDR technology balances bright and dark areas to restore accurate 4K detail at night, including number plates in fast-moving traffic.
Ultra fast 5GHz Wi-Fi
The built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi module provides significantly faster data transfer than 2.4GHz, enabling smooth video previewing, downloading and sharing via the VIOFO app.
USB 2.0 Type-C direct connection
Connect the A229 Pro directly to your smartphone via a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-C cable for video and photo downloads at up to 20MB/s on iPhone 16. The same connection supports firmware updates.
Smart voice control and notification
Voice commands let you start recording, take photos and toggle Wi-Fi without touching the camera. Supported languages include English, Chinese, Russian and Japanese. Audible notifications alert you to settings changes or memory card errors.
Accurate GPS tracking
The quad-mode GPS module supports GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS simultaneously for faster positioning and improved accuracy. Location, speed and time data are overlaid and viewable in the VIOFO app or on a computer.
Loop recording and auto emergency lock
The A229 Pro records continuously, overwriting the oldest footage when the card is full. The built-in G-sensor automatically locks and protects footage in the event of a collision.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What is included in the A229 Pro 1CH 128GB bundle?
A: You get the A229 Pro front camera with GPS mount, CPL-200 filter, 3.5m car charger, USB-C data cable, spare sticky pads, stickers and trim tool, plus an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 128GB microSD card.
Q: Is 128GB enough for 4K recording?
A: Yes for everyday use. Loop recording overwrites the oldest footage automatically, and a 128GB card holds several hours of 4K video before it starts looping. Locked event clips are kept until you delete them.
Q: Is a CPL filter included with the A229 Pro 1CH?
A: Yes. The CPL-200 front camera filter is included to reduce glare and reflections.
