This VIOFO A229 Plus 3CH bundle combines the three-channel dash cam, recording 2K front and 2K rear via dual Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensors plus 1080P infrared cabin recording, with HDR, 5GHz Wi-Fi, GPS and voice control, with a BP100 battery pack, a CPL-200 circular polarising filter and a 256GB microSD card.

The BP100 battery pack powers parking mode from its own 7650mAh LiFePO4 battery, so the car battery is never drained, the CPL-200 filter cuts dashboard reflections and windscreen glare from the front camera and the 256GB Viofo high-endurance card is ready to record out of the box. The dash cam, BP100 battery pack, CPL-200 filter and VIOFO 256GB microSD card are also sold separately.

The A229 Plus 3CH suits taxi and fleet use where an interior view is required alongside front and rear coverage. It uses dual Sony STARVIS 2 cameras for 2K Quad HD recording front and rear, day and night.

Dual Sony STARVIS 2 Sensors

Both the front and rear cameras use Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensors, offering 2.5× wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity than standard STARVIS, with reduced noise and motion blur day and night.

Upgraded Infrared Cabin Recording

The interior camera uses a Sony STARVIS IMX307 sensor with HDR to capture the full cabin scene without overexposure. A built-in IR light sensor automatically activates 4 infrared LEDs in low light, recording sharp black-and-white detail even in complete darkness.

HDR for Front and Rear Cameras

The dual Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensors, combined with HDR processing, balance bright and dark areas to preserve 2K detail in challenging lighting. Number plate details remain legible in fast-moving traffic from both front and rear.

Smart Voice Control and Notification

Voice commands let you start/stop recording, take photos, and toggle Wi-Fi in multiple languages (English, Chinese, Russian, Japanese). Audible notifications alert you to settings changes or memory card errors.

Ultra Fast 5GHz Wi-Fi

Built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi provides faster data transfer for smooth video previewing, downloading and sharing via the Viofo app.

Ultra-Precise GPS

The built-in Quad-Mode GPS module supports GPS, BEIDOU, GALILEO and GLONASS, improving positioning accuracy and stability. Location, speed and time data are available during playback in the Viofo app or on a computer.

Loop Recording and Auto Emergency Lock

Seamless loop recording overwrites the oldest footage automatically. The built-in G-sensor locks footage during a collision or crash to preserve the incident recording.

BP100 Battery Pack for Parking Mode

The Viofo BP100 is a 12.8V 7650mAh (98Wh) LiFePO4 battery pack that powers the dash cam in parking mode for up to around 32 hours on a single-channel camera, without touching the car battery. It recharges in about 70 minutes when hardwired or around 100 minutes from the cigarette lighter, and its Bluetooth link to the Viofo Battery App shows charge level and temperature alerts. Runtime with a 2 or 3-channel camera is shorter and depends on the parking mode used.

CPL-200 Circular Polarising Filter

The CPL-200 clips onto the A229 front camera lens and cuts reflections from the dashboard and glare from the windscreen and wet roads, giving clearer, more saturated daytime footage. Rotate it once fitted to find the angle that removes the most reflection.
