The Viofo A119 Mini 2 is a compact single-channel front dash cam recording 2K at 60fps, built around a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor with HDR, built-in GPS, 5GHz Wi-Fi and voice control. It is part of Viofo's A119 Mini range.

Powered by a Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor, the A119 Mini 2 delivers 2K recording at 60fps, keeping fast-moving scenes sharp with reduced motion blur. Switch to 2K 30fps with HDR for balanced exposure in challenging lighting conditions.
IMX675 Sensor
The A119 Mini 2 uses the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 1/2.8" 5MP sensor, providing greater clarity, a wider dynamic range, 2K HDR support, less noise in low light and reduced motion blur in fast-moving footage.
HDR Enhanced Vision
Sony STARVIS 2 technology combined with HDR balances bright and dark areas, revealing detail and capturing accurate number plates even at speed during night-time recording.
Ultra Fast 5GHz Wi-Fi
Built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi provides fast data transfer for smooth video previewing, downloading and sharing via the VIOFO app. A Viofo 512GB U3 A2 V30 microSD card is available separately to maximise storage capacity.
Smart Voice Control & Notification
The A119 Mini 2 supports voice commands in multiple languages to start recording, take photos and toggle Wi-Fi on or off. It also provides audible notifications for settings changes and memory card errors.
Accurate GPS Tracking
The built-in GPS module logs location, speed and time data, viewable during video playback on the VIOFO app or VIOFO PC player.
Loop Recording & Auto Emergency Lock
Seamless loop recording automatically overwrites the oldest footage. The built-in G-sensor detects a collision and locks the relevant clip to protect it from being overwritten. For parking mode use, the Viofo HK4 hardwire parking mode cable is compatible with the A119 Mini 2.

The A119 Mini 2 is the camera we recommend to most drivers. It records 2K at 60 frames per second through a STARVIS 2 sensor, and the body is small enough to hide behind the mirror so nothing obstructs your view or advertises that the car has a camera.
Who it suits
Drivers who want strong evidence without a large unit on the screen, and anyone buying their first dash cam. The 60fps frame rate is unusual at this price and makes a real difference when reading plates on passing traffic. Step up to the A229 Pro if you want 4K, or the A229 Plus for front and rear.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: Does the Viofo A119 Mini 2 record at 60fps?
A: Yes. It records 2K (2560x1440) and 2560x1080 at 60fps, plus 1920x1080 at 60fps. For the best dynamic range in difficult light, you can switch to 2K at 30fps with HDR.
Q: Can I control the A119 Mini 2 by voice?
