The Morel MPS 1.550 is a Class D monoblock subwoofer amplifier delivering 350W RMS at 4 ohms or 550W RMS at 2 ohms, part of Morel's MPS amplifier range.
Compatible with the optional Morel MPS-R1 wired remote level control.

Sub power
The MPS 1.550 is built to partner Morel's own subwoofers, sending up to 550W RMS of clean, high-fidelity power. If you also need amplification for your front speakers, the Morel MPS 4.400 4-channel amplifier is available separately.
Low-noise design
Class D architecture keeps the signal clean with minimal noise. Balanced differential inputs reject interference, and an onboard microprocessor manages thermal regulation under sustained load. All connections are on one side of the amp for straightforward installation.
Tone controls
Low-pass and subsonic filters, bass boost, and gain controls are recessed under a top panel. Speaker-level inputs support DC offset or signal-sensing turn-on but require speaker wire to RCA adapters (not included). Wiring, fuse, and hardware are not included — 8-gauge power and ground leads with a 50A fuse are recommended.

Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?
A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.
Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?
A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.
Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?
A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.
