The Helix Ci7 T20FM-SC is a pair of 0.75 inch (20 mm) silk dome tweeters from the Helix Compose i7 series, made in Germany. They feature a neodymium magnet, solid aluminium housing and dampened coupling volume, designed for high-end component systems with FlexMount20 vehicle-specific installation.
Key specifications
- Size: 0.75 inch / 20 mm silk dome
- Impedance: 4 ohm
- Frequency response: 1,500 Hz – 30,000 Hz
- Resonance frequency: 950 Hz
- Sensitivity: 91 dB @ 2.83V / 1m, 88 dB @ 1W / 1m
- Installation diameter: 27.2 mm
- Installation depth: 19 mm
- Minimum crossover: above 3,000 Hz at 12 dB/octave
These tweeters require a highpass filter: either an active DSP channel or the matching Ci7 FX-UNI.2 Flex-Crossover. Flush mounts and angle-mount pods are included; car-specific FlexMount20 adaptors and WireKits are available separately.
Helix Compose – universal speakers evolved
The Helix Compose platform was developed to meet the increasingly complex demands of modern vehicle installations. It combines classic universal speakers with the practical advantages of vehicle-specific systems — delivering high efficiency, strong dynamics and excellent sound quality in a wide range of vehicles.
i7 – High-end car audio made in Germany
The Compose i7 series represents Helix's uncompromising high-end tier, developed with clear influence from sister brand BRAX and manufactured entirely in Germany. All speaker impedances are matched for use with Helix and MATCH amplifiers. The i7 is part of the broader Compose range, which also includes components such as the Compose i5 M80FM-S3 3 inch midrange speakers.
Brilliant treble response
The i7 tweeter uses a fine-meshed silk dome with visco-elastic Acronal coating on both sides for a smooth, detailed treble response. Pure lamb's wool and a dampened coupling volume lower the resonance frequency and allow deep acoustic coupling.
FlexMount20 – universal meets car-specific
FlexMount is a mounting system using specially developed adaptor rings that allow Compose FlexMount speakers to be installed in a wide range of vehicles. The matching FlexMount20 adaptor ring lets the universal tweeter drop into the vehicle's original tweeter position in an acoustically optimised way.
WireKits – plug and play installation
Helix WireKits connect Compose components to the vehicle's original wiring harness, or optionally to the crossover, via arrestable adaptor cables built to automotive industry standards. They are sold separately.

About the Helix CI21001
From our tech experts at CEN
The Helix Ci7 T20FM-SC is a pair of 0.75 inch (20 mm) silk dome tweeters from the flagship Compose i7 series, made in Germany. They have neodymium magnets, turned aluminium housings and a damped coupling volume that keeps resonance down to 950 Hz, with a 1.5 to 30 kHz response.
Who it suits
Builders of an i7 front stage who want tweeters that can be crossed over low and placed in factory or custom locations. Flush mounts and angled pods are included, and car-specific FlexMount20 adaptors fit many factory tweeter positions. Pair them with the Ci7 M100FM-S3 midrange or an i7 midbass.
Our tech experts advise
They need a high-pass filter above 3 kHz at 12 dB per octave, from a DSP channel or the Ci7 FX-UNI.2 crossover. Never run them full range. The installation depth is just 19 mm. Get in touch if you want us to plan placement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
Q: What crossover frequency should I use for the Ci7 T20FM-SC?
A: HELIX recommends a highpass above 4,000 Hz at 6 dB/octave, above 3,000 Hz at 12 dB/octave, or above 2,500 Hz at 24 dB/octave.
Q: What mounting options come with the Ci7 T20FM-SC?
A: Flush mounts and tweeter pods for angle mounting are included, along with extension cables and mounting material. Car-specific FlexMount20 adaptors are available separately.
