Power. Clarity. Purpose.
The Amplify series reinterprets classic amplifier design for modern systems. It stays stable down to 1 ohm, and its compact dimensions make it easy to place even in tight installs. If you need more headroom, the Helix M One and Helix M One X offer alternative mono subwoofer amplifier options within the Helix range.

About the Helix AC20120
From our tech experts at CEN
The Helix Amplify 201 X-Over is a compact mono Class D subwoofer amplifier rated at 250 W RMS at 4 ohms, 450 W at 2 ohms and 750 W at 1 ohm. It has a built-in low-pass filter from 50 to 250 Hz, a subsonic filter from 10 to 50 Hz and a variable phase control.
Who it suits
Drivers adding a subwoofer to a factory or aftermarket head unit without a separate processor. It takes an RCA signal or speaker-level input, and comes with a cable remote for bass level. If a DSP will handle the filtering, the Amplify 201 Direct is the version designed for that.
Our tech experts advise
It measures 41.5 x 248 x 118 mm, so it fits under most seats. Match the subwoofer's wiring to the load the amplifier is happy with, and set the gain with a meter. Installation and tuning are priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?
A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.
Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?
A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.
Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?
A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.
Q: Can CEN install this amplifier?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional amplifier installation from our Nottingham premises, including secure mounting, wiring and setup. Contact us to book.
Q: Can the HELIX AMPLIFY 201 X-OVER connect to a factory head unit?
A: Yes. It has two high-level speaker inputs (3 - 32 volts) with automatic turn-on, so it can take a signal from factory speaker wiring without a separate line output converter.
Q: Does the AMPLIFY 201 X-OVER come with a bass remote?
A: Yes. A cable remote control is included in the box, along with mounting hardware, Allen keys, a fuse and the instruction manual.
Q: What crossover settings does the AMPLIFY 201 X-OVER have?
A: An adjustable low-pass filter from 50 Hz to 250 Hz, an adjustable subsonic filter from 10 Hz to 50 Hz, both at 12 dB/octave, and phase adjustable from 0 to 180 degrees.
