Audison Prima
Audison Prima is designed for car enthusiasts who want to hear every nuance of their music through components that integrate cleanly with factory (OEM) systems, without compromising on space.
The APK 130 pairs the AP 1 tweeter with the AP 5 woofer. The APCX TW crossover includes a two-position level selector: +2dB when installed behind an OEM grille, or 0dB for an A-pillar installation with no grille between tweeter and listener.
- AP 1 tweeter with 26mm diaphragm and wide-roll surround for high efficiency and reduced resonance frequency.
- AP 1 tweeter with acoustic lens to compensate for in-car frequency response anomalies in the 10kHz–13kHz bandwidth caused by restrictive OEM grilles.
- APCX TW compact passive crossover optimised for OEM integration, with 0dB/+2dB attenuation switch.
- Passive crossovers supplied with OEM-compliant fast-on connectors — different ends on each pole to eliminate connection errors and speed up installation.
- AP 5 woofer with 32mm pure copper voice coil for high power handling and low-frequency control.
- AP 5 woofer with water-repellent treated paper cone, profiled using FEM (Finite Element Method) simulation and optimised with the Klippel R&D Scan Vibrometer.
- AP 5 woofer with reduced mounting depth for easy fitment in OEM positions.
- AP 5 woofer with TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) surround featuring the exclusive shallow Triple Wave profile for maximum excursion linearity.
- AP 5 woofer with abrasion-resistant, scratch-proof basket coating and motor secured with damping epoxy adhesive.
- AP 5 woofer with high-current fast-on terminals, double contact on positive and negative poles, and a temperature-resistant cover to prevent accidental short circuits.
- Developed using the Klippel suite.

Our tech experts advise
Sizes, adapter rings and harnesses vary by vehicle, year and trim, so we confirm what your car takes before ordering. Door treatment matters as much as the speaker, and Audison drivers repay amplification and tuning. Installation and tuning are priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
Q: Does the APK 130 come with crossovers?
A: Yes. It includes APCX TW compact tweeter crossovers, a 3.5kHz high-pass at 6dB per octave, with a level switch: +2dB when the tweeter sits behind a factory grille, or 0dB for an A-pillar installation with no grille in front.
Q: What size are the APK 130 speakers?
A: The AP 5 woofers are 130mm (5 inch) and the AP 1 tweeters are 26mm. The woofers have a reduced mounting depth for easier installation in factory locations.
Q: Are grilles available for the APK 130 woofers?
A: Yes. The Audison Prima APG 5 is a pair of 130mm grilles designed for the AP 5 woofers used in this kit.
