About the EPIC Pro range

The EPIC Pro speaker line is built for builds that demand serious output — whether that's a show car or a clean street system.

EPIC Pro speakers are engineered to project sound far and wide with refined accuracy, delivering high performance and strong efficiency across live and studio material alike.

Rather than choosing between a dust cap or a phase plug, AudioControl combined both in its phase cap design, which widens bandwidth, increases efficiency and smooths the transition between mid and high frequencies.

Precision-tuned components, lightweight materials and ground-up California engineering let these speakers get loud without wasting power from your amplifier. There is an EPIC Pro speaker for every kind of build.

Features

  • High efficiency and low distortion: concert-level sound even at extreme volumes.
  • Huge output and far projection: fills your vehicle and projects powerfully so your audio is heard and felt.
  • High SPL capability: built to handle serious power, delivering volume and dynamic impact.
  • Phase cap for efficiency and bandwidth: boosts efficiency and widens bandwidth, giving more sound from less power and capturing every musical nuance.
  • Lightweight components and precision tolerances: meticulously engineered for efficiency, impact and accuracy.
  • AudioControl engineered: designed from the ground up by AudioControl engineers as a complete, performance-driven system.
  • Voiced for EPIC amplifiers: specifically tuned to integrate with EPIC Series amplifiers.

Our tech experts advise

Sizes, adapter rings and harnesses vary by vehicle, year and trim, so we confirm what your car takes before ordering rather than guessing. Door treatment matters as much as the speaker. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will these speakers fit my car?

A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.

Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?

A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.

Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?

A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.

Q: Do these come as a pair?

A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.

Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?

A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.

Q: What size hole does the EPICPRO8X need?

A: The cut-out diameter is 7.3 in / 186.6 mm and the overall diameter is 8.2 in / 208 mm. The mounting depth is 3.3 in / 84.5 mm.

Q: What frequency range does the EPICPRO8X cover?

A: The EPICPRO8X is rated from 80 Hz to 12,000 Hz, so it is a midrange driver and needs a separate tweeter for the top end.

Q: What is in the box with the EPICPRO8X?

A: Two EPICPRO8X speakers and a manual.
