6-channel DSP amplifier and subwoofer system for Volkswagen T6.1 / T6
For original Volkswagen radios. Model number: SPC-W84AT6-2.
The SPC-W84AT6-2 upgrades the Alpine Adventure Audio speaker system in the VW T6.1 or T6 to Concert Ensemble level, adding significant power, dynamics and bass to the existing Alpine speaker setup. The included wiring harness supports original VW radios (high-power input) or aftermarket radios with RCA pre-amp outputs, enabling a straightforward plug-and-play installation.
More power, more dynamics
The 1120 W (peak) DSP amplifier drives the whole sound system, including the included 180 W dual-coil subwoofer. It is pre-programmed to match the acoustic characteristics of the T6.1/T6 cabin and can be adjusted for steering wheel position (LHD/RHD), radio type and other factors.
Powerful bass upgrade
The 180 W dual-coil subwoofer comes pre-installed in a sealed wooden enclosure designed to fit under the front passenger seat. It is compatible with the rotary seats of the California and the seating bench of the Caravelle — in the Caravelle with a 2-person bench, it installs under the driver's seat instead.
Fast and easy installation
All installation brackets and cable harnesses are included. The plug-and-play wiring harness connects to an original VW T6.1/T6 radio or to aftermarket radios with RCA pre-amp outputs. If you want to add remote bass level control, the Alpine RUX-KNOB2 is a compatible optional accessory.

About the Alpine SPC-W84AT6-2
From our tech experts at CEN
A complete system package for the VW Transporter T6.1: a six-channel DSP amplifier with a matched subwoofer, built to work with the vehicle’s factory wiring.
Who it suits
VW Transporter T6.1 owners who want a proper system rather than piecemeal upgrades. The DSP is what makes it work, because a van cabin is an awkward shape and processing corrects for where you actually sit.
Our tech experts advise
The parts are matched, but the result still comes down to the tuning, done in the vehicle once everything is in. We install and tune these at our Beeston workshop. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs and what the work involves. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What size enclosure does this subwoofer need?
A: The recommended enclosure volume is listed in the Specification tab where the manufacturer provides it. As a rule, sealed enclosures give tighter, more accurate bass while ported enclosures deliver more output. Contact CEN if you would like a recommendation for your build.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Sealed or ported enclosure - which should I choose?
A: Sealed boxes are compact and produce tight, controlled bass suited to sound quality builds. Ported boxes are larger and produce more output at low frequencies, suited to those who want maximum impact. Either works well when built to the recommended volume.
Q: Can CEN build or supply an enclosure and fit everything?
A: Yes. CEN supplies enclosures and offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises, including amplifier wiring. Contact us to discuss your build.
Q: Does the SPC-W84AT6-2 fit both the VW T6 and T6.1?
A: Yes. It fits the T6 California, Multivan, Transporter and Caravelle from 07/2015 to 10/2019 and the T6.1 versions from 2019 on.
Q: Does the SPC-W84AT6-2 include door speakers?
A: No. This kit contains the 6-channel DSP amplifier, subwoofer, subwoofer grille, installation brackets and wiring kit. It is designed to upgrade an existing Alpine Adventure Audio speaker system.
Q: Does the SPC-W84AT6-2 work with the original VW radio?
A: Yes. The plug-and-play wiring harness connects to original VW T6.1 / T6 radios through the high-power inputs, and also supports aftermarket radios with RCA pre-amp outputs.
