This sound upgrade will add lots of power output, dynamic and bass to your existing Alpine speaker system to achieve the ultimate listening experience in your vehicle.
The DSP amplifier is pre-programmed to perfectly match the sound characteristics of the Volkswagen Crafter 2 / Grand California, to ensure perfect sound quality, while the included wiring harness for original Volkswagen radios or aftermarket radios featuring RCA pre-amp outputs allows for fast plug-and-play installation in your vehicle.
The 180 Watt subwoofer comes pre-installed in a custom-fit wooden enclosure for installation under the passenger seat to add powerful bass to your existing sound system and is even compatible with the rotary seat of the Grand California camping van.

The 1120 Watt (peak power) Alpine DSP amplifier ads much more power and dynamic to your entire sound system and additionally drives the included 180 Watt dual-coil subwoofer. The DSP amplifier is pre-programmed to perfectly match the sound characteristics of the Volkswagen Crafter 2 / Grand California cabin, but can be further adjusted for steering wheel configurations (left or right), radio type and other factors.

Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What size enclosure does this subwoofer need?
A: The recommended enclosure volume is listed in the Specification tab where the manufacturer provides it. As a rule, sealed enclosures give tighter, more accurate bass while ported enclosures deliver more output. Contact CEN if you would like a recommendation for your build.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Sealed or ported enclosure - which should I choose?
A: Sealed boxes are compact and produce tight, controlled bass suited to sound quality builds. Ported boxes are larger and produce more output at low frequencies, suited to those who want maximum impact. Either works well when built to the recommended volume.
