Alpine Adventure Audio: Concert Ensemble
The SPC-W84AT6-2 DSP amplifier and subwoofer system pairs with the SPC-106T61 door speakers to form the Concert Ensemble upgrade for the VW T6.1. It adds substantial power, dynamics and bass to deliver a significant step up from the factory sound.
The DSP amplifier is pre-programmed to match the acoustic characteristics of the T6.1 cabin. The included wiring harness connects directly to the original VW radio or to aftermarket radios via RCA pre-amp outputs, making for a clean, fast installation.
More power, more dynamics
The 1120 W peak Alpine DSP amplifier drives all channels including the 180 W dual-coil subwoofer. Pre-programmed settings are optimised for the T6.1 cabin, with further adjustment available for steering configuration (LHD/RHD), radio type and other variables.
Your VW T6.1 never sounded this good
The Alpine SPC-106T61 Adventure Audio door speakers handle up to 180 W peak power. The 166 mm mid-range woofers and 28 mm silk-dome tweeters deliver accurate bass, clear mids and crisp highs throughout the cabin.
Powerful bass upgrade
The 180 W dual-coil subwoofer comes pre-installed in a sealed wooden enclosure and mounts under the passenger seat. It is compatible with the rotary seats of the California and the seating bench of the Caravelle. For Caravelle with a 2-person bench, the installation position is under the driver's seat.
Fast and easy installation
All installation brackets and cable harnesses are included. The plug-and-play wiring harness connects to an original VW T6.1 radio (high-power input) or to an aftermarket head unit with RCA pre-amp outputs. If you are fitting an aftermarket head unit at the same time, the Alpine ILX-F905D Halo 9 is a compatible option with RCA outputs.

About the Alpine SPC-W84AT6-2 - SPC-106T61
From our tech experts at CEN
A complete system package for the VW Transporter T6.1: a six-channel DSP amplifier with a matched subwoofer and speakers, built to work with the vehicle’s factory wiring.
Who it suits
VW Transporter T6.1 owners who want a proper system rather than piecemeal upgrades. The DSP is what makes it work, because a van cabin is an awkward shape and processing corrects for where you actually sit.
Our tech experts advise
The parts are matched, but the result still comes down to the tuning, done in the vehicle once everything is in. We install and tune these at our Beeston workshop. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs and what the work involves. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What size enclosure does this subwoofer need?
A: The recommended enclosure volume is listed in the Specification tab where the manufacturer provides it. As a rule, sealed enclosures give tighter, more accurate bass while ported enclosures deliver more output. Contact CEN if you would like a recommendation for your build.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Sealed or ported enclosure - which should I choose?
A: Sealed boxes are compact and produce tight, controlled bass suited to sound quality builds. Ported boxes are larger and produce more output at low frequencies, suited to those who want maximum impact. Either works well when built to the recommended volume.
Q: Can CEN build or supply an enclosure and fit everything?
A: Yes. CEN supplies enclosures and offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises, including amplifier wiring. Contact us to discuss your build.
Q: Which vans does this Alpine T6.1 kit fit?
A: It is designed for the Volkswagen T6.1 California, Multivan, Transporter and Caravelle from 2019 on.
Q: Does this Alpine kit work with the original VW radio?
A: Yes. The wiring harness connects to original VW T6.1 radios through the amplifier's high-power inputs, and also supports aftermarket radios with RCA pre-amp outputs.
Q: Will the subwoofer fit with California rotary seats or a Caravelle bench?
A: Yes. The subwoofer installs under the passenger seat and is compatible with the California rotary seats. On a Caravelle with a 2-person bench it installs under the driver's seat.
