The Alpine Adventure Sound Experience
Alpine's Adventure Audio range is engineered for the acoustically challenging environments of campervans and utility vehicles. The SPC-106T61-2 delivers clear, detailed sound on long drives while keeping installation simple and cabin cosmetics intact.
Your VW T6.1 never sounded this good
The SPC-106T61-2 brings high-fidelity audio to the T6.1 at an affordable cost. It handles up to 150 W peak power, delivering deep bass, accurate mids and crisp highs with audiophile clarity.
Made for Volkswagen T6.1
Compatible with all T6.1 configurations — Multivan, California, Caravelle and Transporter — and any original or aftermarket radio. Also compatible with the T6.1 California front windscreen roller blinds.
Designed to be seen and heard
The stainless steel tweeter grills in the A-pillars replace the original plastic VW grills. Produced using a chemical photo etching process, they are acoustically optimised and virtually transparent to sound waves, while looking sharp from every angle.
Fast and easy installation
All components fit original installation locations, preserving the option to reinstate the factory system — useful for leased vehicles. All connectors are plug-and-play compatible with the original VW wiring harness. Installation requires only standard household tools and a step-by-step manual is included.
Enjoy crisp, clean highs
The 28 mm silk dome tweeters with back-chambers reproduce frequencies well beyond 25 kHz with fast dynamics and clear detail. Audio-optimised tweeter brackets angle the tweeters towards listeners in the cabin, improving sound stage and clarity.
HAMR Surround
Alpine's HAMR (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround allows maximum cone excursion with excellent control, producing strong bass at high volumes without distortion.
Die-cast aluminium basket and large magnets
The die-cast aluminium basket provides high stiffness and carries heavier magnets without warping. Alpine's engineers fitted larger magnets than in previous generations while maintaining the same mounting depth. A pole core vent improves motor cooling, allowing the speaker to handle higher power for extended periods without loss of sound quality and with reduced thermal stress on components.
Dynamic mid-bass experience
The 166 mm mid-range drivers deliver powerful mid-bass with texture and accuracy across a wide frequency range. Steel base rings provide a vibration-free connection to the door frame, and attached silicone seals protect the door interior from moisture.

About the Alpine SPC-106T61-2
From our tech experts at CEN
Vehicle-specific speakers designed for the VW Transporter T6.1, so they fit the factory locations using the existing mounting points and connectors rather than needing adapter rings cut to fit.
Who it suits
VW Transporter T6.1 owners who want a real improvement over the factory speakers with no cutting or fabrication. Plug-and-play sets like this are the usual starting point, because the work is contained and the result is immediate.
Our tech experts advise
They will play louder and cleaner with an amplifier behind them, and doors usually benefit from sound deadening before you hear what the speakers can really do. Model years and trim levels vary, so get in touch to confirm this set suits your exact vehicle. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
A: Unless stated otherwise, car speakers are sold in pairs. Check the product title and What's Included tab, which lists exactly what is in the box.
Q: Can CEN fit these speakers for me?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional installation from our Nottingham premises. Contact us to book an installation slot or ask for a fitting quote.
Q: Which Volkswagen T6.1 models does the Alpine SPC-106T61-2 fit?
A: It is compatible with all Volkswagen T6.1 configurations, including the Multivan, California, Caravelle and Transporter. It is also compatible with the T6.1 California front windscreen roller blinds.
Q: Do I need to change my radio or wiring to fit the SPC-106T61-2?
A: No. It works with any original or aftermarket radio, and all connectors are plug-and-play with the original VW wiring harness. It uses only the original speaker locations, so the factory system can be re-installed later, for example on a leased vehicle.
Q: What speaker sizes are in the SPC-106T61-2 kit?
A: The kit uses 166 mm mid-range door speakers with die-cast aluminium baskets and 28 mm back-chambered silk dome tweeters that mount in the A-pillars behind stainless steel grills. Steel base rings and seals are included for the doors.
