Which Alpine car stereo should I choose?

For a straightforward single-DIN upgrade, the UTE-201BT offers Bluetooth, USB and FLAC playback, while the UTE-204DAB adds DAB+ digital radio. If you need a touchscreen with smartphone mirroring and your dash has limited depth, the iLX-W650BT is built on a shallow 60 mm chassis. The iLX-705D is a full double-DIN unit with a sharper 1280 × 720 WXGA display and DAB+. The Halo 9 and Halo 11 mount in a single-DIN opening but project a 9- or 11-inch floating screen above the dash — the Halo 11 is larger and costs more.

For a fully Android-based system with native app access, both the INE-AW409S and INE-AX809 run Android 13; the AX809 adds a Snapdragon 8-core 2.0 GHz processor, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage compared with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB on the AW409S. If you drive a Volkswagen, Seat or Skoda, the KIT-HALO-VW303 or KIT-F9VW-T61 installation kits retain steering wheel controls, parking sensor displays and the original rear camera.
