The Alpine KIT-HALO-VW303 is an installation kit with a CAN to UART interface for fitting a 1DIN Alpine Halo or a compatible 2DIN Alpine head unit into Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda models on the MIB-PQ platform. It retains the steering wheel controls, MFD, parking sensor and air conditioning displays, and works with the original reversing camera and microphone.

For VW platforms (MIB-PQ: Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen). The installation kit KIT-HALO-VW303 lets you integrate a 1DIN Alpine Halo system (INE-F904D, INE-F904DC, iLX-F905D, iLX-F115D) or 2DIN head unit such as the iLX-705D, INE-W720D or INE-W720DC into a compatible Volkswagen, Seat or Skoda vehicle.
Designed for VW platforms (Seat, Skoda and VW)
The KIT-HALO-VW303, combined with the INE-F904D, INE-F904DC, iLX-F905D, iLX-F115D, INE-W720D, INE-W720DC or iLX-705D, brings multimedia and navigation into your compatible Volkswagen, Seat or Skoda vehicle. It allows integration of a compatible Alpine head unit in your vehicle and includes all required parts.
Retains steering wheel controls
The Alpine system is fully compatible with the vehicle's steering wheel control buttons, including the telephone accept and decline buttons, with SIRI and OK Google support.
Multi-Function Display (MFD) support
The KIT-HALO-VW303 supports the Multi-Function Display (MFD) in the instrument cluster. When connected to an Alpine head unit, the MFD will display radio station names, song titles and artist information, caller names, navigation turn-by-turn arrows and other useful information.
Note: the display of turn-by-turn arrows in the MFD is supported only for the INE-F904D, INE-F904DC, INE-W720D and INE-W720DC.
Retains parking sensors display
If your car is equipped with original parking sensors, you can continue to use this feature when upgrading to an Alpine head unit. The parking sensor system is connected to your Alpine screen, showing a distance display.
Retains air conditioning display
The head unit gives you visual feedback for the selected temperature of driver and co-driver, AC status, seat heating level, selected air vents and more. This screen automatically appears for a few seconds when any of these settings is changed.
Compatible with original reversing camera
You can continue to use your original Volkswagen, Seat or Skoda reversing camera with the KIT-HALO-VW303. Note: not compatible with original RGB cameras.
Compatible with original microphone
The KIT-HALO-VW303 is compatible with your original Volkswagen, Seat or Skoda hands-free microphone. This makes the installation faster and cleaner, since no additional microphone has to be installed.
Compatible with many Alpine head units
The KIT-HALO-VW303 is compatible with all Alpine Halo head units (iLX-F115D, iLX-F905D) and Halo navigation systems (INE-F904D, INE-F904DC), as well as 2DIN head units such as the iLX-705D, INE-W720D or INE-W720DC that are "Vehicle Data-Bus Interface Ready".

Q: What is included in a stereo installation kit?
A: A typical kit includes the fascia panel to fill your dash aperture and the wiring harness to connect the new stereo without cutting factory wiring. Some vehicles also need an aerial adapter or steering wheel control interface, listed separately.
Q: Will I lose my steering wheel controls when fitting a new stereo?
A: Not if you use the right interface. Where your vehicle needs one, a steering wheel control adapter retains your existing buttons with the new stereo. We will advise if your vehicle requires it.
Q: Which Alpine head units work with the KIT-HALO-VW303?
A: It suits the Alpine Halo iLX-F115D and iLX-F905D, the Halo navigation systems INE-F904D and INE-F904DC, and 2DIN head units such as the iLX-705D, INE-W720D and INE-W720DC that are Vehicle Data-Bus Interface Ready.
Q: Does the KIT-HALO-VW303 fit the VW T5 and T6?
A: Yes. The Volkswagen T5 Facelift (09/2009 to 06/2015) and T6 (07/2015 to 09/2019) are on the compatibility list. Check the Specification tab for all compatible models and years.
Q: Will navigation arrows show in my instrument cluster?
A: Turn-by-turn arrows in the MFD are supported only with the INE-F904D, INE-F904DC, INE-W720D and INE-W720DC. With other compatible units the MFD still shows radio, track, caller and other information.
