The Viofo VS1 Mini is a compact, single-channel front dash cam recording 2K 1440p at 30fps with HDR, powered by a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor with built-in GPS, 5GHz Wi-Fi and voice control. It is part of Viofo's VS1 Mini range.

The VS1 Mini's compact, screenless body tucks neatly behind your rear-view mirror, keeping the road view clear.
2K 1440p video recording
The Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor delivers crisp 2K 1440p footage day and night. The 140° wide-angle lens captures fine details including number plates.
Less noise, less motion blur
The IMX675 offers a dynamic range approximately 2.5 times wider than a standard STARVIS pixel of the same size, significantly reducing noise and motion blur in both day and night recording.
Improved number plate capture at night
The IMX675's larger pixels increase light-receiving capacity, and 2K HDR balances bright and dark areas to reduce overexposure and make number plates easier to read at night.
Hands-free voice commands
Voice control lets you start and stop recording, take photos, and toggle Wi-Fi using spoken commands in multiple languages. The VS1 Mini also provides audible notifications for settings changes and memory card errors.
Flexible installation
A 180° rotatable bracket lets you mount the VS1 Mini on the front or rear windscreen, dashboard, or rear deck, facing inward or outward to suit your setup.
5GHz Wi-Fi downloads
The upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi module provides faster data transfer for smoother video previewing, downloading and sharing via the Viofo app.
Direct data transfer to your smartphone
Connect via USB2.0 Type-C to Type-C cable for direct transfers of up to 20MB/s on iPhone 15. The same connection supports firmware updates. To enable parking mode, the Viofo HK5 Hardwire Parking Mode Power Cable is the matching kit for the VS1 Mini. Pair with a Viofo 512GB Dash Camera MicroSD Card to make full use of the maximum supported storage capacity.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What resolution does the VIOFO VS1 record?
A: The VS1 records 2K 2560x1440p at 30fps with HDR. It can also record 2560x1080p or 1920x1080p at 30fps.
Q: Can the VS1 be used as a rear or cabin camera?
