This VIOFO A229 Plus 1CH bundle combines the front-only 2K Quad HD dash cam with Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor, HDR, 5GHz Wi-Fi, quad-mode GPS and voice control with an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 128GB microSD card.
The HK4 hardwire kit and fuse set let you power the camera from the fuse box for parking mode. The dash cam is also sold on its own or in a bundle without the memory card, and the VIOFO 128GB microSD card is available separately.

The A229 Plus uses the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensor, which offers 2.5 times wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity than standard STARVIS technology, resulting in significantly less noise and motion blur in day and night recording.
2K HDR | Night Vision 2.0
The Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor, combined with advanced HDR technology, balances bright and dark areas to restore accurate 2K detail at night — including number plate details in fast-moving traffic.
Smart Voice Control & Notification
Voice control lets you start/stop recording, take photos, and toggle Wi-Fi using spoken commands in English, Chinese, Russian or Japanese. The camera also provides audible notifications for settings changes and memory card errors.
Ultra Fast 5GHz Wi-Fi
The built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi module provides faster data transfer than standard 2.4GHz connections, enabling smooth video previewing, downloading and sharing via the Viofo app.
Super Fast Video Downloads to Phone Directly
Connect via USB2.0 Type-C to Type-C cable for direct smartphone transfers at up to 20MB/s on iPhone 15. This connection also supports firmware updates.
Ultra-Precise GPS
The built-in quad-mode GPS module supports four satellite positioning systems — GPS, BEIDOU, GALILEO and GLONASS — for improved accuracy and stability. Location, speed and time data are recorded and viewable via the Viofo app or on a computer during playback.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: What is included in the A229 Plus 1CH 128GB bundle?
A: You get the A229 Plus front camera, car charger, USB-C data cable, mount sticky pad, static stickers and trim tool, plus an HK4 hardwire kit, an 8-piece fuse kit and a 128GB microSD card.
Q: Is 128GB enough for the A229 Plus 1CH?
A: Yes for everyday use. Loop recording overwrites the oldest footage automatically, so the card never fills up, and locked event clips are kept until you delete them.
