About the Sirui Traveler 7C
From our tech experts at CEN
The SIRUI Traveler 7C is the carbon fibre version of the Traveler 7, extending to 166cm, folding to 48cm and weighing 1.57kg with its 360-degree panning ball head. It supports loads up to 8kg and has an integrated monopod.
Who it suits
Landscape and travel photographers with a full-frame kit who want full height and a high load rating while keeping weight down for longer walks. It also works well in the studio. The aluminium Traveler 7A matches its height for less money at 1.89kg. If you want something smaller to pack, the Traveler 5C folds to 33cm.
Our tech experts advise
Carbon dampens vibration better than aluminium, which helps on long exposures, but keep the centre column down when you can. Remove the column and splay the legs for low-angle shots. Clean and dry the twist locks after wet or sandy shoots to keep them smooth.
