The SIRUI Traveler 5A is a compact aluminium travel tripod with a ball head that pans a full 360 degrees. Its five-section legs reverse-fold to 33cm, extend to 138cm and drop as low as 16cm with the centre column removed. It is rated for loads up to 4kg.

Who it suits

Photographers and vloggers with a mirrorless body or compact who want a tripod that fits in a daypack and costs less than carbon. The aluminium legs are the tougher, more budget-friendly choice. If weight matters most, the carbon Traveler 5C is lighter at 850g, and the Traveler 7A gives more height and an 8kg rating.
