Compact design with CNC-machined black metal body
Compact dimensions suit desktop rigs, bedside tables or narrow hi-fi racks. CNC machined from a single piece of aluminium for a rigid, resonance-resistant construction. The top-loading drive with transparent cover lets you enjoy the visual appeal of spinning discs.
MQA-CD support: full MQA unfolding
The ET3 supports MQA-CD and can act as an MQA Full Decoder, delivering the complete quality of MQA files. When connected to an MQA-capable DAC, it can instead act as an MQA Core Decoder, passing the signal out via I2S.
High-end class connectivity
The ET3 provides a full range of standard digital outputs, with particular strengths in its I2S output and dedicated USB data output — an unusual feature for a CD source component.
USB and wireless playback
USB drive playback supports drives up to 2TB and files up to PCM 32bit/768kHz and DSD512. Files can be browsed via the companion Eddict app on a phone or tablet. For wireless streaming, the ET3 supports DLNA and AirPlay over 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi, plus Bluetooth 5.0 for direct connection from phones, tablets or computers.
Advanced sound processing: upsampling and All-to-DSD
The CT7302CL upsampling chip can convert CDs, USB files or wireless streams to high-resolution PCM (up to 768kHz) or DSD. A single setting selects All-to-DSD or All-to-PCM to match your DAC's preference.
- I²S output: up to PCM768, DSD512
- Coaxial / optical / AES output: up to PCM192, DSD64
High-quality Bluetooth input: ultimate convenience
The ET3 pairs as easily as Bluetooth headphones or speakers, giving instant access to streaming apps, video and music from any phone, tablet or computer. LDAC support ensures high-fidelity wireless audio, with AAC also supported for iOS users.
Top-loading CD drive: Philips SAA7824 and Sanyo HD850
The ET3 combines a Philips SAA7824 CD drive system with a Sanyo HD850 optical head in a top-loaded configuration for stable, reliable playback — drawing on Shanling's 30-plus years of CD player manufacturing experience. If you need a portable Shanling CD source, the Shanling EC Mini transportable CD player is also available.

About the Shanling SHANLINGET3-BLACK
From our tech experts at CEN
The Shanling ET3 is a pure digital CD transport with a top-loading, CNC-machined black aluminium body, using a Philips SAA7824 drive and Sanyo HD850 laser. It provides I²S, coaxial, optical, AES/EBU and USB digital outputs, Wi-Fi with DLNA and AirPlay, Bluetooth 5.0 with LDAC, MQA-CD support, and USB drive playback up to 2TB.
Who it suits
The ET3 is aimed at desktop hi-fi listeners who already own a separate DAC and want a versatile, high-quality CD source. If you also need an R2R DAC to pair with it, the Shanling EH90 is a strong match.
Our tech experts advise
The ET3 has no built-in DAC, so a separate DAC is essential for analogue output. The I²S output supports up to PCM768 and DSD512; coaxial, optical and AES/EBU are limited to PCM192 and DSD64, so check your DAC's inputs before connecting. The CT7302CL chip provides All-to-DSD or All-to-PCM upsampling to suit your DAC's preference. Browse compatible sources and DACs in the Shanling range.
