Rockford Fosgate R2-750X1 Prime 750 Watt Mono Amplifier
The R2-750X1 is a 750W Class-D mono amplifier capable of running at 4Ω, 2Ω or 1Ω. Class-D technology keeps it efficient, reducing the load on your vehicle's electrical system. It features C.L.E.A.N. circuitry to help set gain accurately, a P.O.W.E.R. supply that increases output as voltage rises, and an integrated Punch EQ that boosts bass by up to 18dB at 45Hz. A variable infrasonic filter and the included RLC remote level control let you fine-tune bass output to suit your music. It pairs well with subwoofers such as the Rockford Fosgate P1S4-12 Punch 12" subwoofer.

About the Rockford Fosgate R2-750X1
From our tech experts at CEN
A monoblock subwoofer amplifier from Rockford Fosgate, Class D, rated at 750w RMS.
Who it suits
Anyone adding a subwoofer that needs real power behind it. Rockford Fosgate has been a fixture of car audio since the 1970s, and the Punch name still means solid, honest output.
Our tech experts advise
Matching matters more than headline watts, and gains want setting with a meter rather than by ear. It needs a fused feed from the battery on the correct cable gauge. Installation is priced per vehicle, so get in touch with your make, model and year and we will confirm what it needs. See car audio installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?
A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.
Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?
A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.
Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?
A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.
Q: Can CEN install this amplifier?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional amplifier installation from our Nottingham premises, including secure mounting, wiring and setup. Contact us to book.
Q: What impedance can the R2-750X1 run at?
A: It is stable at 4, 2 or 1 ohm mono, giving 250W RMS at 4 ohms, 500W RMS at 2 ohms and 750W RMS at 1 ohm. It is not bridgeable.
Q: Does the R2-750X1 come with a bass remote?
A: Yes. The RLC remote level control is included in the box, so you can adjust the subwoofer level from the driving seat.
Q: Can the R2-750X1 connect to a factory stereo without RCA outputs?
A: Yes. It has high-level speaker inputs via a 4-pin Molex connector (450mV to 12V sensitivity) as well as RCA inputs, plus an auto-sense bypass switch for vehicles with retained accessory power.
