The Pioneer TS-MR2040 is a 20cm (8") 2-way coaxial marine speaker rated at 40W RMS (200W max), built to withstand water, salt, corrosion and heat. It is part of Pioneer's TS-MR marine speaker range.

Marine audio built to last
The TS-MR2040 is designed to deliver dynamic sound outdoors and on the water. Heavy-duty construction resists water, corrosion and heat throughout.
The water-resistant IMPP (Injection Moulded Polypropylene) composite cone provides outstanding mid-bass response and holds up against salt water, humidity and extreme heat.
An elastomer surround resists colour fading or running over time. The Acrylonitrile-Elastomer Styrene (AES) glass fibre reinforced basket protects the magnetic circuit, and the pure white AES grilles resist fading and yellowing caused by direct sunlight and heat.
Gold tinsel wire and gold-plated wire terminals are used throughout to prevent corrosion and maintain a clean audio signal.

Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
