AIR-D1 1-channel monoblock subwoofer amplifier
Compact powerhouse for subwoofers: The AIR-D1 is a Class D mono amplifier designed specifically for powering subwoofers. Despite its small size, it delivers strong bass output and a rich low-end foundation in your vehicle.
Ultra-compact design: At just 105.7 x 41.7 x 178mm, this micro amplifier fits almost anywhere — under a seat, behind the glove box, or in a side panel — making it well suited to modern vehicles where space is tight.
Compatible with factory radios: High-level inputs and auto turn-on mean the AIR-D1 integrates directly into existing factory systems. No separate remote cable is needed; the amplifier detects the signal automatically.
High-efficiency Class D technology: The Class D circuit keeps power consumption and heat generation low, ensuring reliable performance without putting unnecessary strain on your vehicle's battery during extended listening sessions.
Precise bass adjustment: The integrated low-pass filter (50Hz–250Hz), subsonic filter (10Hz–50Hz), and 0–12dB bass boost let you tune the AIR-D1 accurately to your subwoofer, keeping the bass clean and well-matched to the rest of your system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers or subwoofer?
A: Match the amplifier's RMS output per channel to the RMS handling of your speakers or subwoofer at the same impedance. The Specification tab lists the power figures. If in doubt, contact CEN with your setup and we will recommend a match.
Q: What wiring do I need to install this amplifier?
A: You will need an amplifier wiring kit sized to the amplifier's power draw, typically including power and earth cable, a fuse, RCA leads and a remote wire. CEN stocks complete wiring kits, and the amplifier's fuse rating is the guide to the cable gauge required.
Q: What class of amplifier is this and does it matter?
A: Class D amplifiers are compact and efficient, ideal for subwoofers and modern installs. Class AB designs are traditionally favoured for outright sound quality on mid and high frequencies. The class is listed in the Specification tab where provided.
Q: Will an amplifier work with my factory head unit?
A: Yes, in most cases. If your head unit has no RCA outputs you will need a line output converter to feed the amplifier a clean signal. CEN stocks line output converters and can advise the right one for your vehicle.
Q: Can CEN install this amplifier?
A: Yes. CEN offers professional amplifier installation from our Nottingham premises, including secure mounting, wiring and setup. Contact us to book.
Q: How much power does the Option Audio AIR-D1 deliver?
A: It delivers 350W RMS at 4 ohms and 580W RMS at 2 ohms, with a minimum speaker impedance of 2 ohms.
Q: Does the AIR-D1 need a separate remote turn-on cable?
A: No. It has high-level inputs and an auto turn-on function, so it detects the signal directly from the radio. A Plug & Play adapter for the input signal to RCA is also included.
Q: Is a bass level remote included with the AIR-D1?
A: Yes. A subwoofer level remote control is supplied with Velcro tape for flexible mounting, along with mounting plates, screws and an Allen key.
