The JL Audio C3-650 is a 6.5" (165 mm) 2-way convertible speaker system from the Evolution C3 Series, handling 75W RMS and sold as a pair. It installs either as a component set or a coaxial, with 1" silk dome tweeters and crossovers offering twelve voicing combinations.
The tweeters are also available separately as the JL Audio C3-100ct.

Evolution C3 Series 6.5" convertible component / coaxial system
The C3-650 can be installed as a full component set — with the tweeter mounted separately — or as a coaxial, with the tweeter clipped directly onto the woofer using the included fixtures. This makes it suited to installs where flexibility matters.
The 6.5" (165 mm) woofers feature oversized 1.2" (30.5 mm) voice coils, mineral-filled polypropylene cones and injection-moulded polymer baskets, developed using JL Audio's advanced woofer modelling.
The 1" silk dome tweeters deliver extended on- and off-axis response. Flush-mount and surface-mount fixtures are included, along with coaxial mounting brackets for fitting directly to the woofers.
The C3 crossover networks use premium parts including Mylar® capacitors and segmented air-core inductors. Four tweeter attenuation levels and three mid-range presence levels give twelve voicing combinations.
Each woofer grille consists of a black grille tray and black steel mesh grille with an electroformed JL Audio logo.

Q: Will these speakers fit my car?
A: Most car speakers are standard sizes, but mounting depth and fitting rings vary by vehicle. Check the size in the Specification tab against your vehicle, or contact CEN with your registration and we will confirm fitment and any adapters or fitting kits you need.
Q: Do I need an amplifier to run these speakers?
A: Not always. Most speakers will run from a standard head unit, but a dedicated amplifier lets them perform at their best, particularly for component sets and higher power handling models. The RMS figure in the Specification tab is the guide to how much clean power they can use.
Q: What is the difference between coaxial and component speakers?
A: Coaxial speakers combine the tweeter and woofer in one unit for a simple like-for-like upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer with a crossover for better imaging and detail, and suit installs where sound quality is the priority.
Q: Do these come as a pair?
