Helix BT HD Streamer Bluetooth 5.0 for Brax Helix & Match DSP with Optical Input

The Helix BT HD Streamer is a stand-alone Bluetooth 5.0 audio streaming module that delivers aptX HD, aptX and AAC audio at up to 24 bit / 48 kHz via optical SPDIF to any Brax, Helix or Match DSP with an optical digital input. It is part of the Helix car audio range by Audiotec Fischer.

HELIX BT HD STREAMER

The HELIX BT HD STREAMER is a stand-alone Bluetooth audio streaming module for DSP-based systems. It connects wirelessly to Android and Apple devices and sends high-definition audio to any Brax, Helix or Match DSP with an optical digital input — including the Helix DSP Mini MK2 and the Helix DSP.3S. It is well suited to classic cars without a head unit, camper vans and motorhomes where music is needed without the ignition on.

High-definition streaming with maximum flexibility

The HELIX BT HD STREAMER connects to DSPs and DSP amplifiers via optical output, keeping the signal path completely digital and lossless. Its digital input with pass-through function forwards an incoming optical signal directly to the output, so a digital audio player can be integrated alongside Bluetooth without breaking the digital signal path.

Standby mode lets the streamer wake the sound system on receiving a Bluetooth signal, making it particularly practical in motorhomes, campers and classic cars without a modern head unit.

Exceptional sound quality from state-of-the-art streaming technologies

The Qualcomm aptX HD codec enables high-definition Bluetooth audio at 24 bit / 48 kHz with improvements in signal-to-noise ratio, reduced total harmonic distortion (THD) and minimal audio artefacts. The streamer also supports standard Qualcomm aptX for older Bluetooth devices and AAC, which is optimised for Apple devices including iPhone and iPad.

Optional hands-free function

The HELIX BT HD STREAMER can be extended with the separately available HELIX BT HD Hands-Free Microphone Kit, adding hands-free calling to the vehicle without requiring a head unit.
