The Eton RES12 is a 12 inch (300mm) active subwoofer enclosure from Eton's RES (hidden rich bass) series. It fits inside a spare wheel from 15 inch rim size, or directly in the spare wheel well, letting you keep your spare. The built-in amplifier delivers 200W RMS (500W music power) at 2 ohms.

Eton RES 12: 300mm (12 inch) active spare wheel subwoofer
The RES series is designed for hidden mounting in the spare wheel well. The solid die-cast aluminium housing allows the subwoofer to sit inside the spare wheel (from 15 inch rims) while the original emergency wheel is still carried. The original mounting spike of the spare wheel can still be used thanks to the driver's central mounting design.
The 300mm (12 inch) driver uses a stiffened aluminium membrane and ferrite magnet for strong kick bass and deep low bass. The rigid aluminium diaphragm combined with the strong ferrite magnet and special double bead deliver hard, full kick bass, with deep bass passages handled comfortably.
The integrated active amplifier module provides 200W RMS at 2 ohms and 500W music power handling. It features high and low-level inputs, an integrated low pass filter (50Hz to 100Hz), phase shift via the included level remote control, and auto turn-on (SIG/DC). It is compatible with vehicles fitted with start/stop systems. Engineered in Germany.
If you need a more compact solution, the RES series is complemented by underseat options including the Eton USB8 AR 8 inch underseat subwoofer (100W RMS) and the Eton USB10 AR 10 inch underseat subwoofer (150W RMS). Mounting and installation accessories, connection cable and level remote control are all included.

Q: Do I need an amplifier for this subwoofer?
A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.
Q: What does RMS power mean?
A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
