The Action 5 Pro pairs its 1/1.3-inch sensor and wide f/2.8 aperture with a high-performance 4nm chip. The result is sharp, clean images across a wide range of lighting conditions. Live Photos converts 3-second clips into dynamic photos, and the pre-record function retains moments before you press record.

At 4K/120fps, every high-energy moment is captured in full clarity. The 4nm chip enables 32x Super Slow Motion via frame-by-frame analysis and 4x frame interpolation. Full-pixel 4K/120fps recording in a 4:3 aspect ratio gives more compositional space and cropping flexibility.

Three microphones deliver omnidirectional stereo audio with wind noise reduction, producing 48 kHz cinematic sound. A native DJI Mic 2 connection makes wireless microphone set-up straightforward.

Subject tracking detects and centres your subject dynamically, whether shooting horizontally or vertically. HorizonSteady corrects tilts regardless of activity intensity; HorizonBalancing handles corrections up to 45°. RockSteady 3.0 keeps footage smooth even at 4K/120fps.

Record what the eye sees

The 155° ultra-wide FOV mimics natural human vision for an immersive result. Colour temperature calibration and image stabilisation preserve accurate colour reproduction underwater or in low-light venues. The 10-bit D-Log M mode retains a wide colour range for post-production editing. SuperNight mode applies AI noise reduction for cleaner footage in extreme low light. Dual OLED touchscreens show footage with colour recovery so you can check highlights and shadows before you shoot.

Versatile features, built for action

Dual water-resistant OLED touchscreens mean you can adjust settings, switch modes or access playback without turning the camera around. The magnetic quick-release mount and native vertical shooting let you change orientation or camera placement quickly. Custom modes include SnapShot for rapid capture and a Quick Switch button for fast mode changes. Voice prompts and voice control allow hands-free operation. A built-in timecode function syncs footage across a multi-camera set-up for a cleaner editing workflow.

The Action 5 Pro works with the DJI Mimo app for camera control and the LightCut app for AI shooting and one-tap editing, with templates for activities including surfing, snowboarding and hiking. Live streaming via Wi-Fi or smartphone hotspot is also supported.
