The Wavtech ThinPro12 is a 12-inch Professional Series shallow-mount subwoofer with a single 4 Ohm voice coil, handling 750W RMS from a mounting depth of just 3 inches.
This listing is the 4 Ohm version. The ThinPro12 is also available in 2 Ohm. It fits a standard 12-inch cut-out, and the protective grille (TP12G) is sold separately.

The thinPRO12 has a mounting depth of just 3". Its patent-pending design uses dual mirrored NBR spiders and an axial force transfer assembly to achieve over 2 inches of peak-to-peak excursion.

The 5" voice coil handles 750W RMS. The FEA optimised dual-gap motor features double stacked strontium magnets, maximising flux density and control for 20mm of linear xmax. The cone is a honeycomb composite of Nomex® and glass fibre — strong and lightweight.
The thinPRO12 is designed for small sealed and ported enclosures. Sealed box sizes range from 0.4–1.0 cu ft (optimum 0.6 cu ft). Ported options range from 0.8–1.5 cu ft (optimum 1.0 cu ft). Also available as a 10-inch shallow subwoofer if a smaller driver suits your install.

A: Yes, unless it is an active (powered) subwoofer with a built-in amplifier. Passive subwoofers need an external amplifier matched to the RMS power and impedance shown in the Specification tab.

A: The recommended enclosure volume is listed in the Specification tab where the manufacturer provides it. As a rule, sealed enclosures give tighter, more accurate bass while ported enclosures deliver more output. Contact CEN if you would like a recommendation for your build.

A: RMS is the continuous power a subwoofer can handle, and it is the number that matters when matching an amplifier. Peak or max figures describe short bursts only. Match your amplifier output to the RMS rating in the Specification tab.
Q: Sealed or ported enclosure - which should I choose?
A: Sealed boxes are compact and produce tight, controlled bass suited to sound quality builds. Ported boxes are larger and produce more output at low frequencies, suited to those who want maximum impact. Either works well when built to the recommended volume.
