The front camera records in 4K at 30fps with HDR, keeping distant number plates and fast-moving vehicles sharp and usable as evidence. The telephoto camera adds 4× optical zoom for picking out fine detail at range. To keep recordings running reliably, pair the T340 with a Viofo 512GB U3 A2 V30 endurance microSD card.

The built-in cabin camera records in 2K with a 210° ultra-wide lens and IR LEDs for clear night-time footage. It captures the full cabin and side windows at the same time — useful for rideshare drivers and families alike.
Clear 2K rear recording
The rear camera records in 2K with HDR, balancing glare and shadows to maintain clear footage of what is behind the vehicle. It connects via a 6 m cable and provides solid evidence against tailgating and rear-end incidents.

Q: What SD card do I need for this dash cam?
A: Use a high-endurance microSD card designed for continuous recording. Standard cards wear out quickly in dash cams. CEN stocks suitable high-endurance cards, and the maximum supported capacity is listed in the Specification tab.
Q: Does this dash cam record while the car is parked?
A: Parking mode is listed in the Specification tab. Where supported, it requires constant power from either a hardwire kit or a dedicated dash cam battery pack, both of which CEN stocks.
Q: Do I need to hardwire the dash cam?
A: Not necessarily. All dash cams work from the 12V socket for drive recording. Hardwiring hides the cabling and enables parking mode, and CEN offers professional hardwire installation from our Nottingham premises.
Q: Will the footage be accepted by my insurer or the police?
A: Dash cam footage is widely used in insurance claims and can be submitted to most UK police forces through their online portals. Recording quality matters, so check the resolution in the Specification tab.
Q: Front only or front and rear - which should I choose?
A: A front camera covers the most common claim scenarios. A two-channel system adds rear coverage for rear-end collisions and tailgating evidence, which is where many disputed claims arise. Three-channel systems add an interior view, suited to taxi and fleet use.
Q: How many cameras does the T340 4CH record from?
A: Four: a 4K front camera, a 2K infrared cabin camera built into the main unit, a 2K 4x optical zoom telephoto camera and a 2K rear camera, all recording simultaneously.
Q: What does the telephoto camera do?
A: It records in 2K with a 4x optical zoom and a 35° field of view, so it captures distant number plates and road events in more detail than the 140° wide-angle front camera.
Q: Is the rear camera waterproof?
A: No, this version uses a standard rear window camera. The T340 range also includes versions with a waterproof exterior rear camera.
